Morphology and chemical composition of powder obtained from pyrolysis of chicken feathers
The study was conducted on a Tescan Vega 3 SBH EasyProbe scanning electron microscope with a Bruker Quantax 610 energy-dispersive X-ray microanalyzer. The complete study consists of a description, 124 photographs taken under an electron microscope and 19 spectral chemical analyses in the form of diagrams and tables on 21 pages. Pyrolysis of chicken feathers
Pyrolysis was carried out on chicken feathers taken from a poultry farm. The feather was not cleaned before pyrolysis. It contained remnants of skin, blood and droppings.

Most powder particles have a lamellar (layered) structure (Fig. 4). One of the outer layers is characterized by a cellular (honeycomb) structure with cell sizes of 9 – 42 μm
To determine the chemical composition, the powder was averaged by grinding in a porcelain mortar. The results of chemical analysis (from different places of the selected powder sample) obtained from an area of 1 mm2 are shown in the figures
The product of pyrolysis of feathers has the structure and properties of activated carbon, that is, it is an effective sorbent.
By chemical composition, it is an organic fertilizer containing N-P-S-K.
This makes the product commercially attractive
